Estimates for planning, not guarantees
PartyQuik calculators produce planning estimates based on standard catering and event-industry conventions. Real events vary — appetites, weather, running time, and your particular guests all move the numbers. Treat every result as a starting point, confirm quantities with your caterer, venue, or rental company, and buy where unopened returns are possible.
Alcohol
Our beverage calculators estimate purchase quantities for adults of legal drinking age. They are not drinking guides, and nothing on this site encourages excessive consumption.
- Never serve alcohol to anyone under the legal drinking age (21 in the United States) or to a guest who is visibly intoxicated.
- Many jurisdictions impose social host liability on people who serve alcohol at private events. Know your local law.
- Always provide food, non-alcoholic options, and a safe way home for every guest.
You are solely responsible for how alcohol is purchased, served, and consumed at your event.
Food safety and allergies
Our food calculators estimate quantities only. They do not address safe cooking temperatures, holding times, cross-contamination, or allergens. Follow USDA food-safety guidance — including the 2-hour rule (1 hour above 90°F) — and ask guests about allergies and dietary restrictions. You are responsible for the safety of food you serve.
Rentals, venues, and vendors
Tent sizes, dance floors, and similar figures are planning approximations, not engineering or site-specific advice. Rental companies determine what is safe and permitted for your ground conditions, weather, and local rules. Always call 811 (or your local utility locating service) before anything is staked into the ground, and confirm permits with your municipality.

The site and its calculators are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work hard to keep the math accurate and cite our sources, but we do not guarantee results are error-free or fit for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PartyQuik is not liable for any damages arising from use of this site, including over- or under-ordering.

You're welcome to use the calculators for personal or commercial event planning and to link to any page. You may not scrape, republish, or resell the site's content or calculators as your own, or use the site in a way that disrupts it for others.
